TMI Tuesday: 16/11/21

I rarely answer TMI questions because I am such a killjoy. But this one is a bit wholesome so, why not?!!

1. You went to dinner on a first date, and your date took care of the bill. But when you get home you get a text from your date that is a Venmo request (money transfer app i.e., TransferWise, Paypal Worldremit Azimo) for half the cost of dinner. Do you;
a. Pay the Venmo amount in order to up your chances of a second date
b. Only pay for what you actually consumed
c. Pay nothing because the date supposedly picked up the tab and did not discuss halfsies when you were face-to-face
d. Call the date and yell “WTF?!”

I’d reimburse him for the whole thing and scrap that guy off my dating list. Such a show off paying the tab in front of the waiter. I don’t like it when someone I am dating demands money from me in that manner. I would rather we talk on the spot about splitting the bill, or have me pay the tab instead.

2. Does anyone owe you over twenty dollars? How many different people?

Oh no! A lot of people. I have lent a lot of money to people with amnesia. There was a time when I needed money and tried getting them back, they were mad at me for asking the money back.

3. Are you one to sneak food into movie theaters?

I am. I can only watch in VIP theaters because I have arthritis & I need to be able to keep my legs straight all the time – we’d pay around 175 USD for the 4 of us. If I add their VIP food & beverages with this, it’ll be another 150 USD so in as much as I want to be so grand and live the life…. I don’t. I always sneak beverages in because they cost a lot. I take my flask and fill it with Coke Zero, my husband and sister would fill theirs with iced coffee, my son brings his own water bottle. We have to compensate for the ticket cost from somewhere.

4. What do you want to brag about?

The thing I always flex about is my Animal Crossing Island. I have pimped it so beautifully recently. I am just so proud of it.

5. What do you get in trouble for the most?

I always get in trouble for forgetting stuff. I always knew I am missing something — I should always remember to write things down.

Bonus:  What is in your attic?

We don’t have one but we do have a Room of Requirement. Everything is in there. Name it – you’d find it!

    1. Glad you agree. I am full of pride that way. That’s why no one wanted to date me back then 😀 😀 😀 I met my husband when he was in between jobs… he paid for the food but noticed he barely ate… apparently, he can afford food for one, all the while I thought he was on a diet, just eating salad, I found out he was trying to make do of what he had at that time… I felt so bad…

    1. Yeah… it never happened to me, thank God… but when I was younger, I had some weird payment issues with a couple of guys I dated, I always had more money than the boys I was dating because they’re on baon basis and ako, I was on monthly allowance then my parents would still give me tuition money despite my being on scholarship, I get to keep the money as a reward… I always wanted to chip in on dates because I feel like they’re sacrificing their baon but our culture dictates otherwise. so ayun, didn’t work because they’re built to maintain the pride effect. I can never understand that.
