Three nights ago, I have had one of the weirdest most real dreams of my life.
Incidentally, there’s a Harry Potter challenge relevant to this dream and it will be published by the end of the month. It’s about Divination (related to Professor Trelawney).
About the dream, I was on a plane ride with my son and for some reason, we were seated beside one of my childhood church mates and in the dream, she’s an off duty flight attendant. I said hi to her and she just smiled out of politeness as if not recognizing who I was. We carried on and didn’t push it, perhaps she really did not recognize me. She kept bugging the lady in front of us though, asking so many questions, befriending her and they seemed to click on the spot. I felt kind of annoyed because I was friends with her all our childhood and she was acting like she never knew me.
In the dream, we had an unscheduled stop somewhere, almost bus like and those who were traveling with children were given hotel rooms because the stop was for around 12 hours. My childhood friend kept mumbling about the sudden layover and about her giant LV duffel bag that she now has to carry around for 12 long hours. Hearing her mumble on and on and on, I volunteered to take it and keep it for her since we’re going to a hotel anyhow. She was hesitant but since we’re the only ones who volunteered to help, she gave it up and of course, after few minutes that it was on my hand, the police came and took it from me, and apparently, the contents were contraband.
I realized that she was dismissing me all those times while pretending to not know me because:
- She is a carrier of something illegal & she was befriending the person in front of us to entrap her to volunteer in lieu of a friendly neighbor, but to no avail, I am such a goody two shoes in my dreams.
- Or they could be working together and they really want to con me into doing it.
The Harry Potter question is that what do I think that dream meant, I have always believed that dreams are random and hardly mean anything but since we’re talking fiction here, perhaps it means that I should stop being a goody two shoes and resist the urge to always volunteer since it’s already been too many times that I got caught in trouble for my girl scout attitude.
I have always said that there’s nothing bad that can come out of goodness but apparently, that’s not the world we’re currently living in.
