Of course not!!
I’ve always wanted to go to Universal Studios! Seeing the Wizarding World of Harry Potteris what I have always wanted since I am the Harry Potter fanatic of the family. When my sisters first toured Universal Studios Japan, I was not included because I am already married and got separate travel plans. When they went to LA with our folks, I was also left behind since it did not coincide with our family vacation, so no Harry Potter for me for the second time around. Thankfully, we were able to go last September and I was so ecstatic, like childlike happiness levels! My husband and son were so excited for me as well! I think I was on the verge of tears having seen the castle for the first time!
I had fun visiting the Ollivanders Wand Shop in Diagon Alley. That’s one of the places I’ve always longed to see because I have been so obsessed with Harry’s first time visiting the shop even memorizing Sir Ollivanders’ monologue. My sisters and I, although with significant age gaps have bonded tightly in terms of our Harry Potter fanaticism.
The lady from the store was selling pins representing the Houses… I didn’t want to buy a pin because my son would make fun of my house because guess what? I am a Hufflepuff. We all know that there’s too much goodness in that house but I have to consider that my son’s only seven. For him, it’s either Gryffindor or Slitherin. I mean, it’s hard to make adults understand that Huffies are amazing wizards, what more to a kid! Uggggh! They should really make new films featuring Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw so they’d be more recognized!
Just so you know, the Hufflepuff house has produced many talented wizards — from Triwizard champions to talented magizoologists and herbologists and it has produced the least amount of dark wizards. Thanks to the kindness and acceptance of one of the founders of Hogwarts, Helga Hufflepuff, this house is famous for accepting everyone. Compared to Salazar Slytherin’s pure-bloods-only ethos, Helga’s house is a breath of fresh air and for this heartwarming reason, Hufflepuff should be celebrated!
