Owen Would You Learn?

I have to warn whoever reads my post, Day 5 is about my Least Favorite Male Character and if you know me like “know me” you would know that it’s a no-brainer! It is definitely Owen Hunt. To be fair, I love Kevin McKidd (the actor) but I feel that his character was made to be hated.

I did not immediately hate Owen Hunt. It was a process of worsening irritation. I liked him at first because he was paired with my favorite female, Cristina Yang. He swept her off her feet. She promoted him to be her person. He was so jarred up but Cristina still loved him so much. However, his neverending unrequited lovestory with Teddy Altman makes it all difficult because hello! He was engaged before he met Cristina and guess with whom? Definitely not with Teddy! And of course, he also had to cheat on Cristina! I wonder where gets this philandering attitude, I mean he was supposed to be a good guy. Well… moving forward, Owen has met and gotten together with that Ob from the other hospital (the one from the gala) and got serious with her and guess what? He hooks up with Cristina!! And then there’s Amelia (who had a brain tumor). Their relationship was toxic BUT when Amelia was tumor free, they started building something good. They fostered Leo and Betty and lived like an unconventional family, but a family nevertheless. This cute setup was again, disrupted by his incessant need to dwell on Teddy who always shows up at the worst timing (why!?!!). If she really cared for Owen, she would just disappear for good. But she had to reactivate her effect on Owen and of course, Owen gets overly confused.

Teddy Altman is lucky because there is another female character whom I totally despise. But that’s for another time. It is a Saudi weekend from tomorrow so I have to rest for a while from this challenge. I will continue to answer this (PROMISE!) but someone’s got to have a break right?

Thanks for reading this far.
